Soak in the Psalms Retreat

The Psalms instruct our hearts to meditate on God  in a way that engages our whole being. Psalm 1 says of the one who delights in and ponders Him,

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.  In all that he does, he prospers.”  Psalm 1:3

We all know that life is full of seasons.  Some bring out all the best of what God has done in us, while others bring us to the end of ourselves completely.  In every season, being firmly planted by His streams of living water is our only hope of survival.  Our personal relationship with Jesus is the source of that living water.

The Soak in the Psalms Retreat is a thoughtfully crafted women’s event designed to connect hearts with Jesus through meditation on the Psalms.  The name, “Soak in the Psalms” conveys the two-fold intention of the weekend retreat.   Like a nice, long soak in the tub, there is time set aside to bathe in God’s love, be cleansed by His Word and refreshed by one another!  Rich study and meditation on specific Psalms will also aid in the Word of God soaking into each woman’s heart and mind, impacting the way we interact with whatever season of life we may be in the midst of.

Comprised of teaching, personal reflection time, small group discussion, and worship, the weekend retreat intends to create space and time to draw away from the business of life and be refreshed in every way.
